Dennis Strzegowski resides in Severna Park, Maryland where he works as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition for NewDay USA. He is a hard-working and skilled professional with over 15 years of experience recruiting in the financial industry. Dennis is passionate about building successful talent pipelines, as well as helping to organize and grow recruiting teams. As a dedicated leader and mentor, Dennis is always striving to assist young professionals in developing and achieving their professional goals.

Dennis Strzegowski received his college education from the University of Maryland. He graduated in 2001 with a BA in communications. Shortly after graduating, Dennis got his first job in the financial sector. He worked for Ameriquest Mortgage Company and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage before becoming a branch manager at Global Mortgage in Baltimore in 2005. 

As a branch manager for Global Mortgage, Dennis achieved and maintain revenue and managed vendor relationships including budgeting and payments. He also developed and implemented successful new recruiting and onboarding programs and hired over 20 loan officers in just a few years. He was responsible for commission negotiation, hiring, managing, and termination of employees, as well as training his team on cold calling, sales presentations, and time management. 

Dennis Strzegowski began working for NewDay USA at the beginning of 2011. NewDay USA is a leader in the VA mortgage banking industry that serves America’s veterans and their families. Dennis initially worked as a Talent Acquisition Manager for NewDay and personally recruited 172 financial professionals. He earned a spot in the President’s Club in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 and was recognized as the “Recruiter of the Year” in 2012 and 2013.

In 2012, Dennis earned a promotion and became the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Talent Acquisition. As AVP, Dennis Strzegowski developed and executed a new recruiting strategy that brought in 200 new hires in 2014. He also developed and implemented strategies that increased retention from 51 percent historically to 79 percent in 2014. 

In 2014, Dennis Strzegowski was promoted to his current role as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition. As VP, Dennis has increased NewDay’s overall headcount from 120 employees in 2013 to over 600 today. He has revamped the company’s process of recruiting, built a world-class internship, and led the charge to increase overall employee satisfaction within the organization. In addition to his many other responsibilities as VP, Dennis also serves as the hiring manager for all of the company’s final interviews. 

Dennis Strzegowski’s passion for pouring into the next generation of young professionals extends beyond his role at NewDay. He spends time working as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Maryland Smith School of Business. He has also volunteered for the Howard County Chamber’s Young Professionals Network (YPN), an organization geared toward connecting up and coming professionals with local business and community leaders.

Dennis Strzegowksi’s other interests include golfing, real estate, finance, and cheering on Baltimore sports teams. He also enjoys learning about leaders in the business world. He feels led to become the best leader possible as he strives to help others achieve their personal American Dreams.
